This 5-day private tour departs from your accommodation in Fes and concludes at the Ourika Valley accommodation, offering a scenic journey through Morocco’s varied landscapes from the Middle Atlas to the Sahara and back over the High Atlas. The route takes you through Ifrane, the cedar forests of Azrou, and Midelt on day one, into the Merzouga desert dunes for a sunset camel trek and a night in a luxury air-conditioned desert camp on day two, through Todra Gorge and the Dades Valley on day three, and on to Marrakech via Kalaat M’Gouna, Skoura, Ouarzazate, and Ait Ben Haddou on day four, finishing with a day in the Ourika Valley. The tour includes a private vehicle, 4WD car in the desert, English-speaking driver, a camel ride, accommodation at riads and the desert camp, and dinners and breakfasts throughout.
Meet your driver at your accommodation in Fes and begin a scenic journey south-east through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Travel through Ifrane, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco," before continuing to the cedar forests of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary macaque monkeys. After enjoying the changing mountain landscapes, continue to Midelt, where you will check in and enjoy an overnight stay.
Depart Midelt and enjoy the ever-changing, dramatic views of the Atlas Mountains as you travel toward the Sahara Desert via the Ziz Valley, Errachidia, and Erfoud. As the landscape transforms into vast desert plains, you'll arrive at the edge of the dunes and set out on a memorable camel trek across the golden sands, perfectly timed to witness the magical desert sunset. Upon arrival at your luxury desert camp, settle into your private air-conditioned tent and enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, followed by a warm campfire and live Berber music. Spend the night immersed in the peaceful silence of the Sahara.
Continue your journey toward Boumalne Dades, with a stop at the spectacular Todra Gorge, famous for its towering canyon walls and lush palm-lined valley. Enjoy a short walk through the gorge, taking time to discover the valley, its dramatic rock formations, and unique geological features. Afterward, continue to the Dades Valley, passing through traditional villages and scenic landscapes, with several photo stops along the way. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay in a charming Kasbah-style hotel, beautifully overlooking the Dades Valley.
Today, the journey continues to Marrakech, passing through Kalaat M'Gouna, famous for its beautiful Rose Valley, and the lush palm groves of Skoura. Along the way, Ouarzazate's renowned film studios and the UNESCO-listed, hike to visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a masterpiece of southern Moroccan architecture. Afterwards, cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass arriving in Marrakech where your tour concludes with a drop-off at your accommodation by the early evening.
